Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience as a server in a restaurant setting is preferred but not required
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Basic math skills for accurate order taking and cash handling
  • Familiarity with point of sale (POS) systems is a plus
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry trays of food and beverages
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Exposure to varying temperatures (hot and cold)

Job Duties

  • Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using the point of sale (POS) system
  • Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously ensuring high standards of food service
  • Process payments accurately and handle cash responsibly following established cash handling procedures
  • Manage table assignments effectively to optimize seating and flow demonstrating strong table management skills
  • Proactively suggest additional items to enhance the customer experience (upselling)
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to all health and safety regulations
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other servers to provide seamless service showcasing excellent teamwork
  • Address customer concerns and resolve issues professionally exhibiting strong communication skills
  • Possess thorough menu knowledge to answer customer questions accurately
  • Provide exceptional customer service to create a positive dining experience
