Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in the restaurant or food service industry preferred
  • basic math skills for cashiering and bill splitting
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays or dishes
  • proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
  • commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience in food service, preferably in fine dining, nightclubs, or high-volume restaurants
  • strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest relations
  • proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
  • knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
  • excellent time management skills to manage multiple tables efficiently
  • ability to upsell menu items confidently to increase sales
  • effective communication skills for interacting with guests and team members
  • basic math skills for cashiering and bill splitting
  • knowledge of food preparation, serving techniques, and restaurant operations is beneficial

Job Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
  • take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
  • upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales
  • serve food and drinks promptly while adhering to proper food handling and sanitation standards
  • assist with setting up tables, bussing, and resetting dining areas as needed
  • handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems and manage cash handling responsibilities
  • ensure guest satisfaction by responding promptly to inquiries or concerns
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations and dining areas according to sanitation guidelines
  • collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and proper food presentation
  • support guest relations by providing knowledgeable recommendations about menu items and wine pairings when applicable
