Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Ability to exert medium physical work including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently
- Ability to stand for entire shift
- Ability to maneuver carrying full trays of food and beverages
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Attentiveness, friendliness and courteous service orientation
- Must attend all required hotel meetings and training
- Maintain regular attendance as per hotel standards
- Ability to handle problems effectively including anticipating and solving them
- Ability to understand and apply complex information
- Demonstrated initiative and guest service orientation

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in a hotel or related field preferred
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of employees and guests
- Strong listening and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize functions to meet deadlines
- Capacity to maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
- Willingness to cross-train in other hotel-related areas
Job Duties
- Be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to guests, managers and fellow employees
- Be familiar with the organization of the restaurants, lounges and room service and understand each job position’s functions
- Have a thorough knowledge of menus and current specials in applicable outlets
- Serve guests with food and beverage requirements attentively, courteously and efficiently
- Pre-bus tables removing soiled dishes after each course
- Be familiar with operation of the point of sale (P.O.S) system
- Perform cashiering functions including closing checks and preparing end of shift paperwork
- Perform opening and closing procedures and side-work duties according to station rotation assignment and checklist
- Ensure tables and side stands are stocked, tidy and clean
- Keep beverages at least three quarters full
- Breakdown trays of soiled dishes and linen in dishroom as per standards
- Answer the telephone according to standards
- Consistently upsell food, beverage and promotional items to guests
- Know locations and usage of fire extinguishers
- Receive and deliver food and beverage orders and collect payment
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction
