Job Requirements

  • Hold a current Food Handler Card or be in the process of being certified
  • Hold a valid TABC license
  • Knowledge of state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations regarding service of alcohol
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette
  • Basic knowledge of English sufficient to understand guest inquiries and communicate instructions
  • Ability to comprehend and apply labeling instructions for safety
  • Ability to remember and promote menu items
  • Ability to operate beverage equipment such as coffee makers
  • Ability to transport and lift up to 30 pounds continuously during shifts
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform related physical activities throughout the shift
  • Maintain neat and professional appearance as per company handbook

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in food and beverage service or hospitality is an advantage
  • Current Food Handler Card or in process of certification
  • Valid TABC license
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Knowledge of food and beverage safety standards
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and customer service protocols

Job Duties

  • Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain specials and restaurant promotions
  • Check station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness
  • Record order details from guests and confirm accuracy by repeating the order
  • Input orders into the Point of Sale system to inform kitchen of order particulars
  • Retrieve orders from kitchen, confirm accuracy, and deliver to guests with appropriate condiments
  • Abide by all state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations
  • Replenish beverages as necessary and check with guests for satisfaction
  • Market and serve dessert items or specialty coffees upon request
  • Assist bus staff in clearing and resetting tables
  • Perform assigned side work including replenishing condiments and restocking
  • Carry out general cleaning tasks using standard hotel products to maintain health standards
  • Present checks to guests promptly
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety rules
  • Know department fire prevention and emergency procedures
  • Use protective equipment and report unsafe conditions
  • Report accidents, injuries, or property damage to supervisor
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance according to company standards
  • Perform related duties as requested by supervisor
  • Assist other restaurant personnel when needed
