Job Requirements
- High school diploma/GED
- two years of comparable wait service experience preferred
- availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- ability to provide excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- knowledge of local and state laws regarding alcoholic beverage service
- ability to handle cash and credit transactions accurately

- knowledgeable about the menu, buffet, and wine list
- ability to time the service of each course
- knowledge of wines and spirits
- knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations
Job Duties
- Provide food and beverage service to club members and their guests
- set up workstation and perform assigned side (prep) work
- provide immediate attention to all members and guests upon seating
- ensure that children are in the appropriate type of seat and are safe and secure
- distribute food and wine menus and answer questions
- learn member's names and their special menu preferences
- fill glasses with ice water and suggest menu items
- ensure that the correct account numbers and names are given for billing
- efficiently serve food and drinks in a friendly and courteous manner, offering suggestions on daily specials and wine selections
- place orders with kitchen and inform cooks about any special cooking instructions
- assemble food on tray and procure items from each station as necessary
- serve meals by placing dishes by courses in front of each person
- check back to ensure member and guest satisfaction and replenish water and butter as necessary
- remove soiled dishes, clear tables after each course, and reset them with appropriate silverware
- present dessert menus, make suggestions, and serve desserts, coffee, and after-dinner drinks
- verify accuracy of prices, taxes, tips, and other charges on all checks
- present bill/check to members
- handle all cash and credit card charges as prescribed by standard operating procedures
- keep dining room and bus station areas clean
- clear, clean, and reset tables that have been vacated
- advise supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur
- perform clean-up and closing duties as assigned by manager
- attend pre-meal meetings as requested by supervisory staff
- turn in signed tip declaration form weekly
- thank members and guests and invite them to return
- consistently follow local and state laws and club policies for service of alcoholic beverages
- perform other appropriate duties assigned by the Food and Beverage Manager
