Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
- knowledge of liquor liability laws
- ability to work flexible hours including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays
- physical ability to perform manual tasks involving lifting, carrying and standing for extended periods
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- familiarity with POS systems is a plus
- willingness to learn and adhere to Sonesta service standards
- ability to work in diverse team environment
- must be at least 18 years old

Job Duties
- Perform all restaurant side work as designated by the supervisor
- efficiently and properly perform all service standards
- attend to all needs of the guests during meal periods including breakfast, lunch and dinner
- report to supervisor any need for housekeeping and/or repairs
- adhere to all liquor liability laws
- attend all designated pre-meal meetings
- set up restaurant and work areas
- follow predefined drink service guidelines including regular and specialty cocktails, beer and wine selections
- maintain a neat and professional appearance
- minimize liquor waste
- open and close the assigned restaurant shifts
- serve guests consistently using Sonesta service standards
- bus tables and tray settings and reset as needed
- use Micros POS system to open and close checks
- know the menu and describe items to guests
- maintain positive communication with culinary and stewarding staff
- monitor all functions, events and meetings
- handle heavy volume in the restaurant
- greet guests and anticipate their needs
- use and maintain coffee makers, beverage machines and other service equipment
- work safely in the hotel interior including exposure to extreme temperatures and cleaning chemicals
- manage service time and specials knowledge
- pick up tables and trays in guest rooms, hallways and other areas
- set up, deliver and present all amenities
- attend staff meetings and training sessions
- perform all IRD side work as directed
- deliver passionate and engaging service
- build respectful relationships with colleagues
- perform other duties as assigned
