Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of serving experience in a high-volume, full-service or resort environment
  • Strong food, wine, and cocktail knowledge
  • Excellent communication and multitasking skills
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in a fast-paced environment
  • Team-oriented attitude
  • Professional, polished appearance
  • Fluent English required
  • Must be 21 years of age or older

Job Duties

  • Provide attentive, knowledgeable, and professional service in all dining areas
  • Greet guests promptly, present menus, and guide them through food and beverage selections
  • Accurately take and input orders into Micros POS, ensuring details are clear and complete
  • Serve food and drinks according to The Standard’s service standards and sequence
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, daily specials, and 86’d items
  • Confidently describe menu offerings, wine pairings, and cocktails as trained
  • Open and serve wine and bottled beverages with proper technique
  • Handle all forms of payment accurately and in accordance with company procedures
  • Maintain clean and organized wait stations, ensuring readiness at all times
  • Complete assigned side work before, during, and after shifts according to SOPs
  • Ensure all closing duties are properly executed, leaving the section and service areas guest-ready
  • Communicate effectively with hosts, bartenders, runners, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow
  • Monitor guest satisfaction throughout service and resolve concerns with professionalism and care
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel programming, events, and offerings to provide accurate information and recommendations
