Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior fine dining restaurant serving experience required
  • must be able to work full-time or part-time with flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to follow food safety and sanitation protocols
  • must adhere to company safety policies and procedures
  • ability to handle cash accurately
  • authorization to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Prior fine dining restaurant serving experience
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • strong attention to detail and customer service orientation
  • ability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • demonstrate sensitivity and confidentiality regarding guest information
  • ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen and service staff

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders in an efficient manner following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation
  • follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
  • demonstrate full understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on food and drink combinations
  • accommodate reasonable guest requests and note preferences
  • demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed
  • communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy and accommodate special requests
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain positive relations with guests and staff
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • maintain a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • handle personal or medical information with sensitivity and confidentiality
  • promptly address complaints or issues and relay information to supervisors
  • ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service and meets sanitation standards
  • operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • collaborate with staff from other departments during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
