Job Duties
- Greet guests warmly and guide them through the tapas-style dining experience
- provide detailed menu descriptions including ingredients and preparation methods
- make recommendations for tapas pairings and Spanish wines or cocktails
- explain the shared plate concept and suggest appropriate dish quantities
- anticipate guests' needs and respond courteously
- ensure pre-bussing of plateware and utensils
- set up tables with proper utensils and plateware
- maintain water glass levels and offer additional beverages
- accurately take and input food and beverage orders
- communicate dietary restrictions to kitchen
- coordinate with kitchen and serving staff for timely release of dishes
- prioritize and stage dishes
- deliver food accurately and explain dish names
- monitor guest satisfaction
- maintain restaurant cleanliness and restock supplies
- follow food safety and sanitation standards
- present checks and process payments
- balance cash drawers
- support teammates and maintain professional demeanor throughout service
