Job Requirements

  • Must be available to work mornings, afternoons, and special evening shifts including weekends
  • Must have valid and updated RBS (Server ID) certification upon hire
  • High school graduate or general education degree (GED) or work equivalent
  • Must have good understanding of the English language
  • Previous guest/customer relations experience
  • Certification of previous training in liquor, wine and food service preferred
  • Must be TIPS, CARE or equivalent certified or become certified by first day on the job
  • Ability to input and access information in property management system/computers/point of sales system

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems
  • Collect payments from customers
  • Write patrons' food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff
  • Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes
  • Take orders from patrons for food or beverages
  • Check patrons' identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
  • Serve food or beverages to patrons, and prepare or serve specialty dishes at tables as required
