Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including late hours
  • Ability to report to work on time and regularly
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stand and move for extended periods
  • Must be knowledgeable about hotel, restaurant/lounge and surroundings
  • Ability to provide fast, friendly and professional customer service
  • Capability to handle cash and POS systems accurately

Job Duties

  • Provide fast, friendly, professional and responsive customer service to restaurant guests, restaurant staff and culinary production team
  • Greet and make welcome each guest seated in assigned station within 1 minute
  • Serve initial beverage order within 5 minutes of guest being seated
  • Provide service to and be accountable for an assigned station
  • Sell consistently while creating new strategies to increase the check average of each guest
  • Upsell menu items whenever possible
  • Generate average food and beverage sales in accordance with budget
  • Perform opening, running, and closing procedures including setup and breakdown of stations and tables
  • Maintain cleanliness of assigned station and the establishment
  • Handle cash/credit transactions accurately and follow POS procedures
  • Provide friendly, courteous and professional service to all customers at all times
  • Support staff by running food and bussing tables when needed
  • Maintain complete knowledge of food and beverage menu items
  • Follow professional image guidelines and contribute to hotel goals
  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Attend mandatory meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned
