Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous hospitality experience preferred
  • Ability to stand and walk for entire shift
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Must be service oriented with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure
  • Ability to operate POS systems
  • Able to follow safety and security procedures
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Must maintain personal grooming and wear uniform

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous restaurant and hospitality experience preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office and Outlook preferred
  • Working knowledge of property safety and security procedures
  • Service-oriented with excellent customer service and sales skills
  • Effective communication skills including reading, writing and understanding English
  • Energetic and outgoing personality
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow directions with attention to detail
  • Team player able to work under minimal supervision
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic financial knowledge and arithmetic skills
  • Typing speed of 45 wpm and data input proficiency
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Opera preferred
  • Ability to exercise confidentiality and discretion

Job Duties

  • Ability to walk and stand for entire shift while servicing guests with food and beverage requirements in an attentive, friendly, courteous and professional manner
  • Report all issues and complaints to management
  • Clear, clean and reset tables as needed and perform medium work exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 20 pounds frequently
  • Sweep, mop and vacuum floors to ensure cleanliness of restaurant area and hallways
  • Be familiar with the organization of the restaurant and lounge and have a thorough knowledge of menus and specials
  • Perform opening and closing procedures and side work duties according to station rotation assignment
  • Follow all state liquor laws
  • Handle food and beverage service and carry beverages throughout the room, refilling guests' cups and glasses as needed
  • Greet and serve guests following company policies and procedures
  • Convey information clearly and evaluate alternatives quickly and accurately
  • Work well in high-pressure situations maintaining composure and objectivity
  • Listen and respond effectively to guest and associate concerns
  • Use POS/Micros system for cashiering and servicing guest checks
  • Maintain personal appearance and grooming standards including uniform and name tag
  • Maintain regular attendance as scheduled
  • Coordinate with kitchen and management on work priorities and attend meetings as required
