Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to lift and carry heavy items
  • willingness to comply with safety and sanitation standards
  • reliable transportation if required
  • ability to communicate effectively

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • keep station neat and clean while serving
  • clean station at end of shift
  • keep food transport carts clean and sanitary
  • use proper food handling and serving techniques when transporting food
  • ensure timely food delivery to maintain optimal food temperature
  • visually check each dish to ensure nothing is missed
  • maintain assigned buffets in clean, orderly fashion with sufficient food
  • assist restaurant staff with duties such as clearing and cleaning tables, filling water glasses, refilling drinks, returning dishes to the kitchen and proper placement of soiled linens and trash
  • complete assigned sidework and related cleaning duties
  • be on time and at work when scheduled, and in proper uniform
  • attend department meetings as scheduled
  • exhibit consistent professional and positive attitude and actions when communicating with guests, vendors and associates
  • report any incidents of guest dissatisfaction or unusual matters of significance to manager or supervisor
  • comply with policies and procedures
  • practice safe work habits and comply with sanitary, safety, security and emergency procedures
  • write shift reports including reports on any incidents of theft, accidents or injuries when assigned
  • check with manager or supervisor before leaving work area for any reason
  • perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
  • participate in task forces and committees as requested
  • perform any other duties or tasks as requested by management
