Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Compliance with food safety standards and regulations
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and handle kitchen tasks
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the company
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude

  • Experience as a prep cook or pastry cook preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately

Job Duties

  • Prepare a variety of food products and pastries according to Urban Plates’ recipes and procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep and pastry areas
  • Assist in inventory management and ingredient preparation
  • Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are followed
  • Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house team members to ensure timely meal preparation
  • Participate in cross-training opportunities to expand culinary skills
  • Support overall kitchen operations as needed
