Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • certification in food safety
  • prior restaurant supervisory or management experience
  • strong leadership ability
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • must be able to work mornings and weekends
  • must be at least 21 years of age to participate in 401(k)
  • eligible to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • proven supervisory or management experience in a restaurant or food service environment
  • certification in food safety
  • strong leadership and coaching skills
  • excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • ability to manage both front-of-house and back-of-house operations
  • knowledge of standard restaurant financial and administrative processes
  • problem-solving skills and ability to respond quickly to operational issues
  • dedication to customer service excellence and employee development

Job Duties

  • Learn and support the You First culture and core values
  • put supervisory skills to work ensuring daily operations run according to plan and high standards
  • follow restaurant recipes and understand food sourcing reasons
  • know and work to exceed restaurant sales and traffic goals
  • coach and observe the First Watch Five Steps of Service at every table
  • implement the 10 Commitments in daily work
  • respond promptly to customer and employee concerns
  • communicate and take ownership of repair and maintenance issues
  • maintain food safety certification and coach safe food handling
  • scout and interview candidates continuously
  • secure company assets including computers, point of sale, security systems and equipment
  • understand key responsibilities of every restaurant position
  • intervene immediately on inappropriate behavior and investigate as needed
  • train, coach, and develop team members daily
  • recognize outstanding performance
  • account for daily revenues and deposits
  • complete administrative duties and submit paperwork on time
