Job Requirements
- Education of a high school diploma/GED
- Six months of advanced study or technical training
- Two years of experience in hospitality or restaurant management including administrative work
- One year of supervisory experience
- Florida Food Service Manager certification obtained within ninety days of hire or promotion
- City of Cape Coral cash handling training completion within ten days of hire or promotion
- Valid state driver’s license and Florida driver’s license within thirty days of hire or promotion
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED and additional six months of advanced study or technical training
- Two years of experience in hospitality or restaurant management including administrative aspects
- One year of supervisory work experience
- Florida Food Service Manager certification required within ninety days of hire or promotion
- City of Cape Coral cash handling training within ten days of hire or promotion
- Valid state driver’s license and obtain valid Florida driver’s license within thirty days of hire or promotion
Job Duties
- Prepares assists with and/or monitors food production process including quality and portion control and addressing customer feedback
- Assists with planning and organizing menus personnel scheduling food and equipment inventories and catering services for the City and special events
- Schedules trains and supervises restaurant staff in absence of Supervisor including workers and shift supervisors
- Assists in the hiring promotion training evaluation and discipline of employees in accordance with City regulations
- Performs accounting cash handling and record maintenance activities including cash register activity purchase requisitions supply and equipment inventories and profit and loss
- Supervises arrangement of facilities and equipment ensuring proper supply set-up and condition to maintain security and safety for personnel and patrons
- Assists in managing division inventories through soliciting and reviewing vendor bids evaluating products purchasing reviewing invoices and processing requisitions
- Trains performs and assists in functional areas such as cooking food preparation cleaning and cashiering
- Assists with continual updates on recipes ensuring correct inventory accounting through recipe control
- Practices safe food handling with proper rotation of products and ensures employee safety accident prevention and safe food handling awareness
- Maintains food service equipment in clean working condition
- May operate motor vehicle in performance of assigned tasks
- Performs other related duties as required
- Oversees individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities assisting in food and beverage operations
