Job Requirements
- High school diploma/GED and additional six months of advanced study or technical training
- Two years of experience in hospitality or restaurant management, including experience in administrative aspects of the work
- One year of supervisory work experience
- Florida Food Service Manager certification required within ninety days of hire or promotion
- City of Cape Coral cash handling training within ten days of hire or promotion
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license and obtain a valid Florida driver’s license within thirty days of hire or promotion

Job Duties
- Prepares, assists with and/or monitors food production process, including quality and portion control, and addressing customer feedback
- Assists with planning and organizing menus, personnel scheduling, food and equipment inventories and catering services for the City and special events to provide public service and generate revenues
- Schedules, trains and supervises restaurant staff in absence of supervisor, including workers and shift supervisors
- Assists in hiring, promotion, training, evaluation and discipline of employees in accordance with City regulations
- Performs accounting, cash handling and record maintenance activities related to cash register activity, purchase requisitions, supply and equipment inventories and profit and loss
- Supervises arrangement of facilities and equipment, ensuring proper supply, set-up and condition to maintain security and safety for both personnel and patrons
- Assists in managing division inventories by soliciting and reviewing vendor bids for food, beverages, supplies and equipment
- evaluates products, purchases accordingly, reviews invoices and processes requisitions
- Trains, performs and assists in functional areas such as cooking, food preparation, cleaning, and cashiering
- Assists with continual updates on recipes, ensuring all food served is accounted for in inventory through correct recipe and control
- Practices safe food handling with proper rotation of products and ensures staff awareness of employee safety, accident prevention and safe food handling
- Maintains food service equipment in clean, working condition
- May be required to operate a motor vehicle in performance of tasks
- Performs other related duties as required
- Oversees individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities assisting in food and beverage operations
