Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in restaurant management or hospitality leadership
  • demonstrated ability to manage profit and loss responsibilities
  • experience with staff scheduling and payroll administration
  • strong knowledge of restaurant operations and safety standards
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • proficiency with POS systems
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • Maintains profit and loss authority over the assigned location
  • manages the reservation system, flow of service, staff scheduling, schedule adjustments, and attendance notices
  • facilitates staff briefings prior to all shifts and is a subject matter expert on menu items and guest information
  • identifies talent both internally and externally, interviews, hires, and on-boards new associates to find future leaders
  • monitors staff performance, trains and develops associates through one-on-one discussions, performance evaluations, and hands-on education
  • motivates, inspires, and challenges the team to achieve at their highest level, recognizes and rewards excellent performance, and coaches low performers
  • encourages staff to embrace the company mission and values, displays passion for hospitality and guest service
  • maintains knowledge of company and departmental policies, communicates expectations to staff
  • promotes excellent guest service and handles guest concerns promptly and professionally
  • maintains restaurant cleanliness and sanitation in compliance with OSHA and local health codes
  • ensures restaurant equipment is properly maintained and safely operated
  • understands and manages POS system functions including cash handling and accountability
  • assists with marketing and promotional programs to build restaurant sales
  • writes schedules balancing financial needs and guest experience
  • approves payroll hours daily and weekly
  • performs duties of host, server, server assistant, and food runner as needed
  • communicates daily with President, General Manager of the hotel, and VP of Culinary Operations
  • enforces adherence to all side work
  • maintains positive working relationship with kitchen staff
  • performs additional tasks as assigned by President or Hotel General Manager
