Job Requirements
- Must be able to stand and move about at a moderate pace for up to 4 hours at a time
- stamina to work 50 to 55 hours per week
- able to lift up to 50 lbs
- able to bend, stoop, squat, or crawl
- coordination to operate kitchen equipment
- adherence to Flanigan's dress and grooming policies
- vacations scheduled between April and November only and must be taken or forfeited
Job Qualifications
- Current food management certification
- possess and demonstrate an ownership mentality
- flexibility for scheduling as Flanigan's is open 365 days per year
- willingness to transfer to a different geographical location
- valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- adept at ordering and formulating pars
- basic math skills including counting currency, making change, and using a calculator for calculations
- basic computer skills
- understanding and ability to facilitate proper health code standards
- ability to conduct interviews and adhere to Flanigan's always hiring policy
- able to issue written evaluations for positive or negative performance
- ability to see, speak clearly, listen attentively, taste, and smell
- able to read and write English
Job Duties
- Communicate concerning all kitchen issues with management throughout the course of the day
- read as well as write notes in the manager's daily log in English
- attend weekly manager's meetings and monthly staff meetings
- read the weekly memo
- complete weekly and monthly employee evaluations
- communicate with all managers on duty when shift is completed
- relate accurate, honest report of all events both positive and negative
- comply with all policies, rules and directions covered in manuals, memos, and meetings
- attend the quarterly supervisor meetings
