Job Requirements

  • Must be able to stand and move about at a moderate pace for up to 4 hours at a time
  • stamina to work 50 to 55 hours per week
  • able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • able to bend, stoop, squat, or crawl
  • coordination to operate kitchen equipment
  • adherence to Flanigan's dress and grooming policies
  • vacations scheduled between April and November only and must be taken or forfeited

Job Qualifications

  • Current food management certification
  • possess and demonstrate an ownership mentality
  • flexibility for scheduling as Flanigan's is open 365 days per year
  • willingness to transfer to a different geographical location
  • valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • adept at ordering and formulating pars
  • basic math skills including counting currency, making change, and using a calculator for calculations
  • basic computer skills
  • understanding and ability to facilitate proper health code standards
  • ability to conduct interviews and adhere to Flanigan's always hiring policy
  • able to issue written evaluations for positive or negative performance
  • ability to see, speak clearly, listen attentively, taste, and smell
  • able to read and write English

Job Duties

  • Communicate concerning all kitchen issues with management throughout the course of the day
  • read as well as write notes in the manager's daily log in English
  • attend weekly manager's meetings and monthly staff meetings
  • read the weekly memo
  • complete weekly and monthly employee evaluations
  • communicate with all managers on duty when shift is completed
  • relate accurate, honest report of all events both positive and negative
  • comply with all policies, rules and directions covered in manuals, memos, and meetings
  • attend the quarterly supervisor meetings
