Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year experience as an Associate Manager or 2 years as First Assistant Manager for internal candidates
  • Minimum 3 years experience managing a service concept with full P&L responsibility for external candidates
  • ServSafe certification
  • Completion of Restaurant Manager training classes
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to speak, read, and write effectively in English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform basic math operations
  • Proficient with computers and related software
  • Valid driver's license and insurance
  • Ability to use personal vehicle for work-related travel
  • Ability to stand and walk 85-95% of shift
  • Capability to lift 10-65 lbs
  • Ability to operate restaurant equipment and drive a motor vehicle
  • Ability to operate a computer keyboard

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 1 year experience as an Associate Manager and/or 2 years as First Assistant Manager for internal candidates
  • Minimum 3 years experience managing a service concept with full P&L responsibility for external recruits
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Completion of Restaurant Manager training classes
  • ServSafe certification required
  • Proficient in English speaking, reading, and writing

Job Duties

  • Recruit, select, train, develop, and evaluate restaurant employees
  • Monitor staffing levels to ensure sufficient development and talent
  • Implement and adhere to training systems for employees
  • Identify and develop internal candidates for management and team leader positions
  • Ensure execution of "My Promise to You" and the Service Profit Chain
  • Create an employee-friendly, fun, clean, and safe restaurant environment
  • Motivate and inspire employees to achieve high performance
  • Treat employees with respect and dignity
  • Recognize and reward employees regularly
  • Utilize Jack in the Box systems, processes, and tools
  • Ensure compliance with all labor laws and regulations
  • Manage daily restaurant operations to achieve excellence
  • Provide exceptional guest experiences including handling guest concerns
  • Maintain brand image of cleanliness, maintenance, and service
  • Serve as a role model for guest service
  • Analyze operational and financial performance using management tools
