Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of two years management experience in the restaurant industry
  • proven ability to lead and motivate a team
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • experience with financial controls including cash handling and payroll
  • strong organizational and communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • physical ability to perform cleaning and supervisory duties
  • legal authorization to work in the country

Job Duties

  • Oversee restaurant planning, organizing, training, and leadership to achieve objectives
  • promote and act in accordance with the SERG Restaurant Group mission
  • ensure compliance with all restaurant policies, procedures, standards, and training programs
  • deliver responsive, friendly, and courteous guest service
  • ensure consistent preparation and serving of food according to standards
  • control cash and receipts following cash handling procedures
  • achieve sales, service, quality, appearance, and sanitation objectives through employee training
  • compile and balance cash receipts
  • perform financial activities including payroll and deposit preparation
  • supervise kitchen and dining area cleaning
  • investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality and service
  • ensure accurate receiving of products and deliveries
  • control inventories of food, equipment, smallware, and liquor
  • prepare paperwork including reports and schedules
  • evaluate workers and work procedures and conduct disciplinary actions
  • specify food portions, production sequences, and workstation arrangements
  • forecast staff, equipment, and supply needs
  • inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for efficiency and standards
  • comply with all health, safety, and labor regulations
  • schedule labor to meet business needs and labor cost goals
  • assign duties and workstations
  • perform personnel actions including hiring, terminating, training, and scheduling
  • coordinate with staff to meet guest needs and support operations
  • fill in for employees as needed to maintain service standards
