Job Requirements

  • Two to three years of restaurant management experience
  • Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications preferred
  • Ability to work various shifts including weekends
  • Ability to stand and exert mobility for up to ten hours
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively
  • Must possess finger and hand dexterity to use small tools and equipment
  • Valid driver's license

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years of restaurant management experience
  • Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications a plus
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Strong problem-solving and communication abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and inventory control
  • Ability to train and develop staff effectively
  • Familiarity with store-related technology
  • Commitment to company core values and culture

Job Duties

  • Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
  • Cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of core values and beliefs
  • Ensures the immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
  • Ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits
  • Maintains departmental inventory levels
  • Ensures product preparation and presentation meet company standards by performing line checks
  • Effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
  • Maintains effective safety and security programs
  • Promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation
  • Performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs
  • Promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members
  • Promotes Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
  • Helps maintain a trained staff through orientation, training sessions, employee meetings, and implementing company policies
  • Participates in employee development through performance documentation, evaluations, and coaching
  • Assesses employee efficiency and provides regular feedback
  • Monitors employee performance and documents disciplinary actions
  • Assures compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Controls costs in assigned department
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations
  • Drives bi-weekly/weekly food and liquor inventories and is accountable for completion
  • Prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
  • Assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and company standards
  • Provides a role model for managers and employees
  • Develops self on store-related technology
  • Works in all positions as needed, including cooking, expediting, seating, and bartending
  • Uses Management Development Program for continuous leadership growth
