Job Requirements

  • At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • Ability to work various shifts including weekends
  • Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 10 hours
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to read and write for communication
  • Ability to use small tools and equipment requiring dexterity
  • Driver's license required

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol Certifications are a plus
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage stressful situations effectively
  • Excellent problem-solving ability
  • Effective communication skills
  • Proficiency with store-related technology

  • Ability to develop and mentor employees
  • Experience with scheduling and cost control

Job Duties

  • Ensures timely friendly service according to company guidelines achieving established objectives of the unit
  • Cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of core values and beliefs
  • Ensures immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
  • Ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits established by Flynn Applebee's standards
  • Maintains departmental inventory levels
  • Ensures product preparation and presentation uncompromisingly meeting company standards by performing line checks
  • Effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
  • Maintains effective safety and security programs
  • Promotes and leads restaurant organization cleanliness and sanitation
  • Performs routine maintenance and immediately reports needed repairs to the General Manager or Area Director
  • Promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team member and management candidates
  • Promotes Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
  • Helps maintain a trained staff through effective use of employment orientation individual training sessions employee meetings and implementation of company policy and training systems
  • Participates in constant development of employees using One-on-One and performance documentation and contributes to completion of written evaluations
  • Assesses efficiency of employees provides fair feedback on a regular basis and continuously works with employees on their areas of development
  • Monitors acceptable employee performance and documents situations that require or could lead to disciplinary or corrective action
  • Assures compliance with company policies practices and procedures
  • Controls cost in assigned department
  • Compliance with local state and federal laws regulations and guidelines
  • Drives bi-weekly weekly food and liquor inventories at the AD GM's request and is accountable for completion
  • Prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
  • Assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and Flynn Applebee's standards
  • Provides a role model for managers and employees
  • Develops self on all store related technology
  • Willing and able to work in all positions and assist in a team member position as needed including cooking on the line expo seating guests bartending
  • Uses the Management Development Program for continuous growth of leadership skills and proficiencies
