Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Oversee, direct, and coordinate the planning, organizing, training, and leadership of restaurant staff
  • promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of the SERG Restaurant Group
  • ensure that all restaurant policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs are followed and completed on a timely basis
  • ensure all guests feel welcome and receive responsive, friendly, and courteous service
  • ensure food and products are prepared and served according to recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards
  • control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures
  • achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance, and cleanliness through training and creating a positive working environment
  • compile and balance cash receipts at the end of day or shift
  • perform financial activities including cash handling, deposit preparation, and payroll
  • supervise and participate in kitchen and dining area cleaning
  • investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality or service
  • ensure products are received in correct unit count and condition following receiving policies
  • control inventories of food, equipment, smallware, and liquor, reporting shortages
  • prepare all required paperwork including forms, reports, and schedules
  • observe and evaluate workers and work procedures to ensure quality standards and complete disciplinary actions
  • specify food portions and production sequences
  • forecast staff, equipment, and supply requirements
  • inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas
  • comply with all health, safety, and labor regulations
  • schedule labor according to business activity while meeting labor cost objectives
  • assign duties and work stations in accordance with work requirements
  • perform personnel actions including hiring and terminating staff, providing orientation and training, and managing schedules
  • coordinate with fellow employees to meet guest needs
  • fill in for fellow employees to ensure service standards and efficient operations
