Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 4 years of restaurant experience including 2 years in a management role
- current ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certificate
- valid California Driver's License with safe driving record
- availability to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- strong communication and leadership skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- knowledge of labor laws
- proficiency with restaurant management software and Microsoft Office
- ability to maintain professional appearance and demeanor
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of restaurant experience including at least 2 years in management
- proficient in food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, personnel management, recordkeeping, and report preparation
- strong technology skills including MS Word, Excel, TOAST, and Paycom
- possess a current ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certificate
- maintain a current California Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record
- ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve problems efficiently
- maintain neat, professional appearance
- ability to communicate tactfully and work cohesively with a team
- capable of performing all front-of-house functions
Job Duties
- Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant as needed
- perform other duties as required by senior management
- adhere to company standards and service levels to minimize costs including labor costs
- assist with financial and payroll related administrative duties
- enforce sanitary practices for food handling and maintain cleanliness of dining areas
- investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality and service
- maintain professional restaurant image including cleanliness and appearance standards
- ensure positive guest service and respond to guest complaints
- ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, and laws
- implement proper security procedures to protect employees, guests, and assets
- ensure a safe working and guest environment and complete accident reports when necessary
- enforce labor laws and provide direction to employees on operational and procedural issues
- interview applicants for non-exempt positions and conduct new hire training
- maintain staffing plans and prepare schedules
- assist with training, coaching, and counseling employees
- ensure employees take required breaks
- establish performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback
- assist with implementation of departmental policies and goals
