Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Food handler’s permit or ability to obtain within 30 days
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Service-oriented with customers and team members
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle service issues professionally
- Initiative and problem-solving skills
- Basic math proficiency
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Physical ability to stand, twist, reach, grab, push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds
- Commitment to 100 percent attendance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years experience in team or shift leader role in restaurant, retail or convenience store
- Jersey Mike's phase 1 and 3 certification with phase 2 within 12 months
- Knowledge of employment law and human resource practices
- Familiarity with business and management principles including planning and budgeting
- Basic math skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Food handler's permit
- Valid driver license with clean driving record and liability coverage
Job Duties
- Ensure total customer satisfaction through delivery of quality product and excellent customer service
- Respond positively and quickly to customer concerns and resolve problems
- Supervise and direct employees regularly during work hours
- Work independently and use discretion in executing duties
- Train, coach, and provide performance feedback to motivate employees
- Evaluate employee performance and hold staff accountable
- Communicate team goals and expectations
- Make employment decisions including hiring, discipline, and termination
- Develop and execute business plans
- Analyze business performance and control costs
- Utilize labor efficiently to meet budgets
- Execute company-wide and local marketing programs
- Ensure compliance with laws and company policies
- Uphold food safety and sanitation requirements
- Complete franchise-specific certifications
- Transport cash deposits securely
- Maintain 100 percent attendance
- Model company values including compassion and collaboration
- Perform additional assigned duties
