Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in hospitality or business management
  • Minimum 3 years experience in restaurant management
  • Fluency in Japanese and English, both verbal and written
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team
  • Knowledge of food safety and labor regulations
  • Proficient with inventory management and POS systems
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a restaurant manager or assistant manager, preferably in a Japanese or Asian dining environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills in both Japanese and English, verbal and written
  • Knowledge of sushi and Japanese cuisine and restaurant operations
  • Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Basic financial acumen including budgeting, cost control, reporting

Job Duties

  • Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and adherence to company standards
  • Manage and train staff including servers, kitchen staff, and sushi chefs, ensuring high levels of performance and teamwork
  • Monitor inventory, order supplies, and maintain vendor relationships
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and labor regulations
  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional manner
  • Collaborate with executive management on budget planning, cost control, and business strategies
  • Prepare operational and financial reports as required
  • Support marketing initiatives and community engagement activities
