Job Requirements
- Must be able to work afternoons, late evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
- Must be able to stand for entire shift
- Must be able to work onsite daily
- Must be able to reach, bend, lift and carry trays, boxes, dishes, and glassware
- Must be a clear thinker able to remain calm and resolve problems under pressure
- Must handle multiple tasks while maintaining professionalism
- Must adhere to all resort policies, procedures, and standards
Job Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent life experience in a supervisory role preferred
- Minimum 21 years of age with ability to mix and serve alcohol
- Minimum 2 years food service experience, preferably as server or bartender
- At least 1 year of supervisory or management experience highly preferred
- Point of sales system experience preferred
- Basic understanding of business financials preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English with guests, coworkers, and management
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to pass a background check
Job Duties
- Ensure all guests have a memorable experience filled with hospitality and exceptional service
- Be a problem-solver with strong work ethic and leadership skills
- Follow proper steps of service efficiently while maintaining urgency
- Lead and assist the team in striving for excellence
- Train and develop staff knowledge of beverages including cocktails, liquor, beer, and wine
- Organize, communicate, and lead the team through successful shifts
- Ensure employees follow side work guidelines and maintain a positive work environment
- Follow all resort processes, rules, and regulations
- Properly rotate food and drink products in stock
- Clean and maintain equipment
- Adhere to state sanitation, health regulations, and resort requirements
- Meet all guest special requests
- Maintain positive relationships with wine, beer, and liquor representatives
- Perform well under pressure during high volume shifts
- Communicate effectively with front of house staff, management, and kitchen
- Assist in conducting staff and daily pre-shift meetings
- Support the service commitment and core values
- Prioritize, organize, delegate work, and follow through with assigned tasks
- Resolve problems using good judgment
- Keep a clean, neat, and organized work space
- Motivate staff and maintain a cohesive team
- Direct staff performance and follow up with corrections
- Handle transaction money accuracy
- Communicate professionally with guests during conflicts
- Demonstrate eagerness to learn and develop
- Perform all other duties as assigned
