Job Duties

  • manage labor costs by evaluating labor needs against projected sales
  • review budget and profit and loss statements monthly
  • promote customer satisfaction to build sales
  • monitor crew prep, production, and procedure execution to control costs
  • track waste levels using established procedures
  • communicate sales and profit issues to General Manager or District Manager
  • assist in executing restaurant sales and profit plans
  • monitor food costs to reduce waste and theft
  • monitor product quality during shifts by engaging with customers
  • manage crew performance and provide feedback
  • take and assess service times to improve efficiency
  • train crew in customer service and courtesy
  • take corrective actions to improve service times
  • train crew to solicit customer feedback
  • set and communicate daily sales and service goals
  • train crew to maintain restaurant cleanliness
  • enforce restaurant cleaning plans
  • direct crew to address cleaning deficiencies
  • train crew on new products
  • assist General Manager in training new managers
  • implement Crew Orientation and Training processes
  • train new crew members in initial position skills
  • cross-train crew for efficient coverage
  • recognize high-performing crewmembers
  • follow flowcharts to meet preparation and production goals
  • monitor inventory levels to ensure product availability
  • complete physical inventory as required
  • receive weekly food deliveries
  • maintain security of cash, product, and equipment
  • follow priorities and plans set by General Manager
  • ensure standards and procedures are followed during shifts
  • manage shift to achieve quality standards of 80 percent or higher
  • take action on anticipated or identified problems
  • follow operations manual procedures
  • maintain safe working conditions
  • adhere to cash control policies
  • report accidents promptly
  • comply with health department requirements
  • use effective shift management checklists
  • perform administrative duties as required
  • create crew schedules aligned with management plans
  • comply with crew benefits standards if applicable
  • follow Preventative Maintenance Program
