Job Requirements
- Five or more years of food service and restaurant supervisory experience
- valid driver's license
- reliable transportation
- proof of auto insurance
- must have intermediate-level computer skills including POS and Microsoft Office
- up to date on food safety and health codes
- must have food preparation skills pertinent to restaurant business
- compliance with California wage and hour laws
- able to work varied hours including weekends, holidays and minimum one closing shift per work week

Job Duties
- Deliver high-quality results through execution of workforce planning including recruitment, selection, onboarding, education, and coaching to support continuity of Polly's standards
- manage store operations through application of policies, service standards and continual improvement of operational procedures
- demonstrate effective leadership and efficient labor and team member management including scheduling, monitoring, communication of job expectations, planning, counseling and enforcement of policies and procedures
- commit to team building through rapport, support, coaching, delegation of tasks and team development
- support the long-term development of management-level staff and hold managers accountable for contributing to team and company objectives
- continually support all manager-level staff through leadership, direction and training to achieve effective growth, increased business knowledge and overall skillset
- build relationships with guests daily and support continued satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating and auditing food, beverage and service offerings, initiating effective improvements
- adhere to and uphold cash handling policies and procedures ensuring proper cash management practices
- lead store and team to achieve breakthrough targets through implementation of all tools to optimize production, quality guest-service standards and productivity
- align store to strategic and annual forecasts and budgets, monitor variance analysis, develop financing and enforce financial controls to achieve and maintain financial targets
- provide added value by driving Brand Team initiatives, public and community relations programs to retain and attract business, and propose local store marketing recommendations
- develop and implement strategies to increase store sales
- adhere to company service level standards to increase sales and minimize costs including food, beverage, supply, utility, and labor costs
- manage P&L including forecasting sales, controlling profit and making necessary adjustments to maintain acceptable sales levels
- control profit and loss by following cash control, security procedures, inventory control, labor management, evaluating financial reports and taking corrective actions
- estimate food and beverage costs and coordinate with Home Office and Commissary for efficient provisioning and supply purchasing excluding autoship
- oversee proper portion control and minimize food and baked goods waste
- manage store inventory, place orders with distributors and schedule deliveries
- ensure accurate and timely completion of store financial and personnel duties in line with company standards and procedures
- ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, and all relevant regulations and laws
- enforce proper security procedures to protect team, guests, and company assets
- certify sanitary practices and premises maintenance to pass regulatory inspections by conducting audits and resolving issues timely
- ensure a safe environment to reduce accident/injury risks and report incidents appropriately
- maintain communication with Area Director regarding operational issues and positive events and take corrective action or propose alternatives
- demonstrate excellent people management skills by coaching and motivating a diverse team
- work with Human Resources to resolve time and attendance, counseling, work ethics, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions
- comply with all California wage and hour laws including Polly's meal and rest policy
- work varied hours including weekends, all holidays, and minimum one closing shift per week with holidays considered blackout days subject to change based on business needs
