Job Requirements

  • High School education or GED
  • Current food handler’s card and alcohol service certifications as required by federal, state and local laws
  • Three to five years of experience in the hospitality industry with a focus on food and beverage service
  • Ability to manage and lead a restaurant team
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Basic math proficiency
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and delegate tasks
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and handle up to 25 pounds
  • Willingness to work in fast-paced and sometimes stressful environments
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
  • Valid certifications as mandated
  • Commitment to uphold company values and standards

Job Qualifications

  • Current food handler’s card and alcohol service certifications as required by laws
  • Three to five years’ experience in hospitality food and beverage with guest-focused experience
  • High School education or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality preferred
  • Working knowledge of general restaurant operations
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to multitask and organize
  • Proven team-building ability
  • Experience managing costs
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Uphold company and brand standards, policies and procedures and hold staff accountable
  • Organize and prioritize work assignments and delegate to appropriate staff
  • Direct service on the floor reflecting the hotel and brand culture
  • Create staff schedules to ensure proper staffing
  • Track stock levels, forecast needs and oversee ordering
  • Manage budgets and cost control to minimize expenses
  • Maintain safety programs for restaurant, employees and guests
  • Ensure employee appearance reflects company image
  • Influence team to reflect company core values
  • Possess complete knowledge and enforcement of food and beverage menus
  • Ensure compliance with cash handling and point-of-sale operations
  • Attend required meetings
  • Teach and ensure professional service techniques
  • Hire, train and manage restaurant team members
  • Ensure clean, safe, and orderly work areas
  • Perform cashier functions and handle after-shift forms and counts
  • Complete storeroom requisitions for restaurant and in-room dining
  • Ensure in-room dining service and tray removal meet guidelines
  • Conduct daily pre-shift meetings
  • Address customer needs, comments and concerns
  • Communicate financial performance, inventory and personnel updates
  • Ensure reservation system functions efficiently
