Job Requirements

  • Minimum two to three years restaurant management experience
  • high school diploma required, bachelor’s degree preferred
  • excellent oral and written communication skills
  • able to collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers
  • able to resolve conflicts with guests, supervisors, and employees
  • knowledge of local, state and federal liquor laws and regulations
  • strong floor presence with focus and energy
  • ability to multitask and work well under pressure
  • basic computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • ability to work long hours with a flexible schedule
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • able to lift 25 pounds regularly and push or pull up to 75 pounds
  • good manual dexterity for common office equipment use

Job Duties

  • Participates in the development and implementation of business strategies for the restaurant aligned with Radisson Blu's mission
  • develops and implements strategies for the department
  • monitors status regularly and adjusts strategies
  • develops and implements strategies for assigned Food & Beverage outlets to support hotel goals
  • assists in the development of marketing plans by keeping current on competitors
  • develops and implements special promotions and employee incentives
  • provides employees with up-to-date information on menu offerings
  • coaches employees on effective sales techniques
  • maximizes productivity using forecasting for scheduling
  • manages the operation of the assigned restaurant or outlet
  • coordinates restaurant or outlet setup in accordance with Choice Hotels standards
  • confirms daily specials and new menu additions with Executive Chef
  • manages food and beverage service including coaching employees on service and food presentation
  • inspects restaurant and outlet areas ensuring standards are met
  • leads staff meetings and conducts daily pre-shift meetings
  • assists in quarterly inventories
  • recruits and selects qualified candidates
  • provides orientation and training to employees
  • communicates performance expectations with ongoing feedback
  • coaches and counsels employees for performance improvement
  • ensures 100% guest satisfaction by delivering Radisson Blu experience
  • resolves guest problems with empathy and follow-through
  • provides genuine hospitality and teamwork continuously
  • performs other duties to maintain service brand behavior and hospitality
