Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in restaurant management or related field preferred
  • Food management certification required
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Willingness to work up to 30 miles away from applied location
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Physical capacity to perform kitchen-related tasks including lifting and bending
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Must adhere to company dress code and grooming standards

Job Qualifications

  • Current food management certification
  • Demonstrate an ownership mentality
  • Flexibility for scheduling
  • Willingness to transfer to different geographical locations
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Adept at ordering and formulating pars
  • Basic math skills including counting currency and making change
  • Basic computer skills
  • Understanding and facilitation of proper health code standards
  • Ability to issue written evaluations for employee performance
  • Ability to see, speak clearly, listen attentively, taste, and smell
  • Ability to stand and move about for up to four hours at moderate pace
  • Ability to work 50 to 55 hours per week
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, or crawl
  • Coordination to operate kitchen equipment
  • Adherence to Flanigan’s dress and grooming policies
  • Ability to read and write English

Job Duties

  • Communicate concerning all kitchen issues with management throughout the day
  • Read and write notes in the manager’s daily log in English
  • Attend weekly manager’s meetings and monthly staff meetings
  • Read the weekly memo
  • Complete weekly and monthly employee evaluations
  • Communicate with all managers on duty when shift is completed
  • Relate accurate and honest reports of all events both positive and negative
  • Comply with all policies, rules, and directives outlined in manuals, memos, and meetings
  • Attend quarterly supervisor meetings
