Job Duties

  • Smile and always maintain a positive attitude
  • follow all Chickie's & Pete's service standards
  • resolve customer complaints about food quality or service taking all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests
  • direct cleaning of kitchen and dining areas to maintain sanitation standards
  • monitor actions of staff and guests to ensure that health and safety standards and liquor regulations are followed
  • check quality of deliveries including fresh and frozen food, seafood, and baked goods
  • arrange for maintenance and repair of equipment and other services
  • recruit, hire, train and when necessary, terminate employees
  • ensure all paperwork is in order
  • develop employees by providing ongoing feedback and establishing performance expectations
  • provide management staff with performance reviews
  • maintain an accurate and up-to-date plan of restaurant staffing needs
  • prepare schedules and ensure that the restaurant is staffed for all shifts
  • relief staff when needed to maintain proper labor numbers
  • adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs including food, beverage, supply, utility, and labor costs
  • responsible for ensuring that all financial (invoices, reporting) and personnel/payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately, on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas
  • ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws and ordinances
  • responsible for ensuring consistent high quality food preparation and service
  • maintain professional restaurant image including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards
  • meet store budget by minimizing expense items and managing overall P&L of store
  • work with corporate office staff for efficient provisioning and purchasing of supplies
  • supervise portion control and quantities of preparation to minimize waste
  • ensure proper security procedures are in place to protect staff, guests, and company assets
  • ensure a safe working and dining environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents
  • complete accident reports promptly in the event a guest or employee is injured
  • execute store promotional events
  • facilitate communication to ensure management and staff is aware of specials and promotions
  • delegate effectively to management staff
  • cater to high profile, VIP guests
  • additional tasks as assigned
