Job Requirements
- Ability to work various shifts including weekends
- ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to ten hours
- safely lift items up to 50 pounds
- read and write to facilitate communication
- possess finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment
Job Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
- Serve Safe Food certification is a plus
- Serve Safe Alcohol certification is a plus
Job Duties
- Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
- cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of core values and beliefs
- ensures the immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
- ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits established by Flynn Applebee's standards
- maintains departmental inventory levels
- ensures product preparation and presentation meeting company standards by performing line checks
- effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
- maintains effective safety and security programs
- promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation
- performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs
- promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members and management candidates
- promotes Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
- maintains a trained staff through orientation, individual training sessions, employee meetings and implementation of policies
- participates in employee development using One-on-One and performance documentation
- assesses efficiency of employees providing fair feedback and addressing areas for development
- monitors employee performance documenting disciplinary or corrective actions
- assures compliance with company policies, practices and procedures
- responsible for controlling cost in assigned department
- complies with local, state and federal laws, regulations and guidelines
- drives food and liquor inventories as required and accountable for completion
- prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
- assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and Flynn Applebee's standards
- provides a role model for managers and employees
- develops self on store related technology
- willing to work in all positions and assist as needed
- uses Management Development Program for continuous leadership growth
