Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Manager to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role is essential for ensuring the smooth running of daily operations and supporting our General Manager in managing various programs and systems essential to our success. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership abilities, a strong passion for hospitality, and a thorough knowledge of food and beverage preparation, safety, and sanitation standards.

As a Manager, you will oversee daily operational tasks, lead shifts with vigilance and responsiveness, and foster a productive and pleasant environment for both guests and team members. Your responsibilities will include assisting the General Manager with critical functions such as Management in Training (MIT) programs, certified trainers, hourly hiring and training, and injury reporting. You will also support front-of-house operational systems including order guide management, quality control, food safety compliance, and budget adherence.

Handling guest and team member concerns promptly and effectively is a key part of this role. Ensuring a safe working environment for staff and a comfortable dining atmosphere for guests is paramount. Moreover, you will be actively involved in ongoing professional development, both for yourself and your team, maintaining high service standards and operational excellence.

Financial oversight will be part of your duties where you'll work closely with the General Manager to ensure that all financial documentation is accurate and timely. Familiarity with various administrative programs is necessary to manage these responsibilities efficiently.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-2 years management experience in an upscale casual dining restaurant
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Knowledge of food and beverage preparation
  • Working knowledge of local and national health codes
  • Excellent communication skills

  • A degree in Hospitality Management or similar is preferred
  • Ability to coach and develop team members
  • Strong passion for hospitality and service
  • Knowledge of food and beverage preparation
  • Working knowledge of local and national health codes

Job Duties

  • Oversight and execution of daily operations
  • Leading each shift with open eyes and ears
  • Assist the General Manager with the success of all programs and systems such as MIT, Certified Trainers, hourly hiring and training, injury reporting
  • Support all FOH operations systems including order guides, quality control, food safety and sanitation, budget adherence
  • Handle all guest and team member complaints, comments, concerns swiftly and consistently
  • Maintain a safe working environment for team members and dining environment for guests
  • Ongoing professional development
  • Work with the General Manager to ensure all financials are on track, recorded accurately, and on time
  • Work with various administrative programs
