Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years restaurant experience
- flexibility to work AM, PM, and weekends
- ability to carry out a given task with all details necessary to get it done well
- strong organizational skills
- effective communication skills
- ability to work under pressure
- must be detail oriented
- must be a clear thinker and calm problem solver
- ability to obtain Food Handlers and TIPS certification
- computer proficiency including Microsoft Office
Job Qualifications
- Must have strong and extensive knowledge of steps of service, SOP's, dining and team training
- must have at least 2-3 years of progressive combined experience in a hotel food and beverage department and free-standing high-volume restaurants
- must have restaurant opening experience
- working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office
- ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
- must have effective organization, guest relations, and oral and written communication skills
- strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure
- must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- be a clear thinker, remain calm and resolve problems using good judgment
- must have and/or ability to obtain Food Handlers and TIPS certification card
Job Duties
- Attain budgeted revenue and net operating income
- controlling all cost centers via a checkbook system of purchasing
- assure product quality and consistency is maintained
- continuous evaluation and improvement of the operations
- oversee all hiring and training procedures
- promote inter-company business relations and share best practices
- daily communication with the Restaurant General Manager
- perform coaching, training and development with direct reports
- assure that the budgeting process is performed accurately and efficiently
- promote guest satisfaction throughout the operation
- promote creativity and innovation with the staff
- encourage a positive attitude among employees and treat guests and fellow employees with courtesy and respect
- support business strategies aligned with the hotel overall mission, vision, values and strategies
- maintain positive guest and associate relations at all times
- be an integral part of the development of future projects in the company
- support human resource activities
