Job Duties
- Oversee, direct, and coordinate planning, organizing, training, and leadership to achieve sales, cost, employee retention, guest service, food quality, cleanliness, and sanitation objectives
- Ensure compliance with restaurant policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs
- Monitor health and fire regulation compliance in food preparation, serving, and building maintenance
- Achieve company objectives through employee training and fostering a positive work environment
- Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, garnishing, and presentation to maintain quality standards
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, county, and municipal health, safety, and labor regulations
- Control cash and receipts by following cash handling and reconciliation procedures
- Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality, service, or accommodations
- Review financial statements, sales reports, and performance data to identify areas for cost reduction and improvement
- Monitor budgets, payroll, and financial transactions to ensure expenditures are authorized and budgeted
- Schedule staff hours and assign duties effectively
- Establish standards for personnel performance and customer service
- Plan menus and food utilization based on guest numbers, nutritional value, popularity, and costs
- Organize and direct worker training, resolve personnel problems, make hiring and termination decisions, and evaluate performance
- Administer corrective actions for company policy violations
- Assess staffing needs and recruit staff
- Arrange for equipment maintenance, repairs, and coordinate services like waste removal and pest control
- Review menus and analyze recipes for labor and overhead costs, assign menu prices
- Attend employee meetings and provide improvement suggestions
