Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- able to complete restaurant manager training classes
- valid ServSafe certification
- ability to stand and walk 85%-95% of the shift
- ability to lift and carry 10-65 pounds
- physical ability to move throughout the restaurant
- ability to operate restaurant equipment and a motor vehicle
- ability to operate a computer keyboard
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- minimum of 1 year experience as an Associate Manager or 2 years as a First Assistant Manager for internal candidates
- minimum of 3 years managerial experience in service industry with full P&L responsibility for external candidates
- 100% certification in all workstations required
- ServSafe certification required
- ability to speak, read, and write English effectively
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- basic math competency
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- good organization and planning abilities
- proficient with personal computers and related software
- valid driver's license and insurance
- ability to travel and make bank deposits
- demonstrates integrity and ethical behavior
Job Duties
- Recruit, select, train, develop, and evaluate restaurant employees
- monitor staffing levels to ensure development and talent
- implement and adhere to employee workstation training systems
- identify and develop internal candidates for leadership roles
- ensure execution of the Service Profit Chain and brand promise
- create an employee-friendly, fun, clean, and safe environment
- motivate and inspire employees to achieve high performance
- treat all employees with respect and dignity
- recognize and reward employees regularly
- operate and comply with JIB systems and labor laws
- manage daily restaurant operations to achieve excellence
- ensure consistent guest service and food quality
- maintain restaurant cleanliness and maintenance
- respond to guest concerns professionally and promptly
- analyze operational and financial performance
- develop and implement improvement action plans
- focus on sales growth and profitability
- monitor costs and budget adherence
- deliver and uphold Jack in the Box culture and values
- serve as role model for guest service
- effectively train, coach, and develop employees
- provide regular performance feedback and recognition
- manage conflict and maintain composure under pressure
- attend to priorities and delegate work
- manage operational changes and drive results
