Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • College degree in hospitality a plus
  • Two plus years in a proven leadership role
  • Four years of restaurant management experience
  • Knowledge of point of sale software is a plus
  • Strong administrative and computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: emphasis on Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize and organize
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Food safety certification
  • Alcoholic beverage certification
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license
  • Must be able to create and maintain a professional relationship with staff
  • Must be able to speak and read English
  • Must be able to have dependable transportation

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Maintaining communication with chef and culinary staff to ensure member needs are met in menu preparation
  • Assist the Director of Restaurants in interviewing, selecting, training, supervising, counseling, and disciplining staff
  • Ensure all opening and closing functions are completed each shift
  • Listen to and understand requests then respond with appropriate actions and provide accurate information
  • Observe performance and encourage improvement where necessary
  • Maintain restaurant cleanliness daily
  • Ensure all daily reports are accurate and submitted at end of shift
  • Effectively communicate all maintenance needs to proper outlets using proper procedures
  • Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics which inspire team members to meet and exceed standards
  • Perform special projects as assigned
  • Adhere to club policies and procedures
  • Hold regular training for the staff to maintain Saucon Valley Country Club standards
  • Conduct designated staff/pre-function meetings and assign tasks
  • Provide continuing education to service staff
  • Maintain POS system and restaurant menus
  • Order all service products essential to daily operations
  • Verify all clock-in/out reports are correct
  • Conduct monthly beverage inventories
  • Oversee wine and beverage programs for all club outlets
  • Coordinate wine dinners and wine tastings
