Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year experience managing in a restaurant setting for internal promote or 3 years for external recruit
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must complete Restaurant Manager training
  • Must be ServSafe certified
  • Ability to speak read and write English
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to perform basic math
  • Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle
  • Ability to stand and walk 85 to 95 percent of shift
  • Ability to lift and carry 10 to 65 lbs
  • Ability to operate restaurant equipment and a computer
  • Ability to drive a motor vehicle
  • Must demonstrate integrity and ethical behavior
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma G E D or equivalent required
  • Associates or Bachelors degree preferred
  • For internal promote minimum 1 year experience as an Associate Manager or 2 years as a First Assistant Manager
  • For external recruit minimum 3 years managing a service concept with full P L responsibility
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must complete Restaurant Manager training classes
  • Must be ServSafe certified
  • Ability to speak read and write effectively in English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform and understand basic math concepts
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Good organization and planning skills
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and willingly accepts responsibility
  • Proficient knowledge of personal computers and related software applications
  • Valid drivers license insurance and use personal vehicle for business travel
  • Demonstrates integrity and ethical behavior

Job Duties

  • Recruits selects trains develops and evaluates restaurant employees
  • Monitors staffing levels to ensure sufficient development and talent
  • Ensures systems for training employees on workstations are fully implemented and adhered to
  • Identifies and develops internal candidates for management and Team Leader positions
  • Manages daily activities to achieve excellence in restaurant operational performance
  • Provides exceptional guest experience by ensuring restaurant team delivers excellent guest service and food quality
  • Responds to guest concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Utilizes management information tools to analyze operational and financial performance
  • Implements action plans for improvement and focuses on increasing sales and profitability
  • Ensures compliance with all state and federal labor laws
  • Maintains the brand image of restaurant cleanliness maintenance and excellent service
  • Motivates and inspires employees to achieve high performance
  • Treats employees with respect and dignity and regularly recognizes and rewards employees
  • Adheres to Jack in the Box culture and values
  • Trains coaches and develops employees
  • Demonstrates strong awareness of food quality safety and restaurant cleanliness
  • Performs other related duties tasks and responsibilities as assigned
