Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma required for internal promotion
  • AA degree acceptable for external candidates
  • BA/BS in Business or related field preferred
  • Minimum 1+ years experience as Associate Manager or 2 years as First Assistant Manager for internal promotion
  • Minimum 3 years experience managing a service concept with full P&L responsibility for external recruitment
  • Must complete Restaurant Manager training classes
  • Must be ServSafe certified
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English
  • Valid driver’s license and insurance
  • Able to stand and walk 85-95 percent of shift
  • Ability to lift and carry 10-65 lbs
  • Ability to operate restaurant equipment and drive a motor vehicle
  • Willingness to use personal vehicle for bank deposits and business travel
  • Demonstrated integrity and ethical behavior

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma required for internal promotion
  • Working toward AA or BA/BS degree preferred for internal promotion
  • AA degree acceptable for external candidates
  • BA/BS in Business or related field preferred for external candidates
  • Minimum 1+ years experience as an Associate Manager or 2 years as First Assistant Manager for internal promotion
  • Minimum 3 years experience managing a service concept with full P&L responsibility for external candidates
  • Must be ServSafe certified
  • Must have completed Restaurant Manager training classes
  • Ability to speak, read, and write effectively in English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform basic math concepts
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Good organization and planning skills
  • Proficient in personal computer and related software applications
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and insurance

Job Duties

  • Recruit, select, train, develop, and evaluate restaurant employees
  • Monitor staffing levels and employee development
  • Implement training systems for employees on workstations
  • Identify and develop internal candidates for management and Team Leader positions
  • Ensure execution of "My Promise to You" and the Service Profit Chain
  • Create an employee-friendly, fun, clean, and safe restaurant environment
  • Motivate and inspire employees to achieve high performance
  • Treat all employees with respect and dignity
  • Regularly recognize and reward employees
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal labor laws
  • Manage daily activities to achieve operational excellence
  • Train and hold team accountable for guest service and food quality
  • Review and improve guest service practices
  • Maintain restaurant cleanliness, maintenance, and service standards
  • Respond to guest concerns and complaints promptly and professionally
  • Serve as a role model for excellent guest service
  • Utilize Jack in the Box systems, processes, and tools effectively
