Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum two years of front of house restaurant supervision experience
- Ability to work Tuesday through Saturday schedule
- Knowledge of state liquor regulations and food safety standards
- Food handling certification where applicable
- Ability to manage staff and schedules effectively
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Basic proficiency in POS and computer software
- Physical ability to carry trays with meals and beverages
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years of front of house restaurant supervision experience
- College hospitality or culinary degree preferred
- Experience in luxury properties and fine dining
- Food handling certificate where applicable
- Certificate in alcoholic awareness program where applicable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment with prioritization
- Basic computer skills including POS, Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to carry a tray with six meals or beverages and serve up to twenty residents
Job Duties
- Provide a high level of customer service at all times
- Anticipate resident's needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests
- Maintain complete knowledge of restaurant(s), cocktail lounge and room service operations, proper table set-up and dress code
- Work closely with the Food & Beverage Director and/or General Manager to keep residents satisfied with food and beverage programs
- Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations
- Maintain knowledge of the characteristics and description of every wine and beverage available
- Maintain complete knowledge of Toast and/or POS system as well as manual systems
- Adhere to payment, cash handling and credit policies/procedures and ensure all food & beverage orders are processed through POS system
- Process all payments through the POS
- Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, prices, preparation method/time, major ingredients and quality standards
- Review the daily menu with residents and staff
- Solve issues before they become problems or complaints
- Manage and coordinate room service operations with Executive Chef
- Manage and participate in the execution of special events, banquets, and theme meals
- Document and report resident attendance for meals
- Train and adhere to Quality Enhancement standards and standard food safety practices
- Maintain and ensure compliance with all F&B policies, procedures and standards
- Review Resident feedback and data to identify areas of improvement
- Create dining staff cleaning schedules and task lists and hold staff accountable
- Maintain restaurant(s) in a clean, crisp, upbeat atmosphere
- Visually confirm all tables are set according to standards
- Ensure floors are clean and maintained
- Ensure beverage equipment and storage areas are clean and functional
- Assist with transportation and storage of food and supplies
- Ensure side work is completed
- Hold staff accountable to hospitality station standards
- Interview, hire, train, develop and evaluate assigned staff
- Create and manage front of house scheduling
- Conduct performance reviews and establish goals
- Coach and train staff on customer service and serving techniques
- Counsel and discipline team members
- Assist Food & Beverage Director with back of house operations
- Communicate dining complaints and compliments
- Conduct pre-meal meetings
- Attend Food for Thought meetings
- Attend monthly department meetings
- Notify Food & Beverage Director of equipment problems
- Manage schedules per resident census and budgets
- Manage budget for linens, supplies, uniforms, payroll, events
- Assist in menu planning
- Perform other duties as assigned
