Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum two years of front of house restaurant supervision experience
  • Knowledge of luxury restaurant operations
  • Valid food handling certificate where applicable
  • Certificate in alcoholic awareness program if required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven leadership abilities
  • Organizational skills and time management
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Physical ability to carry trays with multiple meals or beverages
  • Ability to serve multiple residents simultaneously

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Two years of front of house restaurant supervision experience required
  • College hospitality or culinary degree preferred
  • Experience in luxury properties with fine dining operations
  • Food handling certificate where applicable
  • Certificate in alcoholic awareness program where applicable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
  • Basic computer skills including POS, Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to carry trays with six meals or beverages
  • Ability to serve up to twenty residents during meal periods

Job Duties

  • Provide a high level of customer service at all times
  • Anticipate resident's needs and respond promptly
  • Maintain complete knowledge of restaurant, cocktail lounge and room service operations, dress code and table setup
  • Work closely with Food & Beverage Director and/or General Manager to keep residents satisfied with food and beverage programs
  • Maintain compliance with state liquor regulations
  • Possess knowledge of all wine and beverage offerings
  • Operate POS and manual systems accurately
  • Ensure payment and cash handling policies are followed
  • Manage and coordinate room service operations
  • Oversee execution of special events, banquets and theme meals
  • Document and report resident meal attendance
  • Train staff on Quality Enhancement and food safety standards
  • Maintain food and beverage policies, procedures and standards compliance
  • Review resident feedback and implement improvements
  • Create staff cleaning schedules and enforce task completion
  • Maintain clean and organized restaurant environment
  • Confirm tables are set to Coterie standards
  • Ensure beverage and storage equipment is clean and functional
  • Oversee transportation and storage of food supplies
  • Ensure completion of dining side work and hospitality stations
  • Hire, train, develop and evaluate restaurant staff
  • Manage front of house scheduling
  • Conduct performance reviews and set developmental goals
  • Coach and discipline team members as needed
  • Assist Food & Beverage Director with kitchen operations
  • Communicate dining complaints and compliments to kitchen staff
  • Conduct pre-meal service meetings
  • Participate in resident Food for Thought meetings
  • Attend monthly department meetings
  • Report equipment mechanical issues
  • Manage schedules according to resident census and budget
  • Administer budget for supplies, uniforms, payroll and events
  • Assist in menu planning and development
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed
