Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess valid driver's license
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Capability to work in noisy, hot, or cold environments
  • Flexibility to work a 50-hour workweek including all shifts and days
  • Must be able to perform all subordinate positions' duties
  • Good knowledge of state and federal employment laws
  • Ability to train others on Wendy's systems such as WeLearn
  • Must maintain professionalism and discretion when addressing customer issues
  • Must have excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Must be available to report promptly and regularly
  • Must maintain ServSafe certification
  • Capacity to conduct physical inspections of the restaurant
  • Experience working with headsets

Job Qualifications

  • College degree or equivalent experience in operations
  • Minimum of 1 year line operations experience in the restaurant industry
  • Ability to perform all restaurant operations positions and functions
  • Strong knowledge of Wendy's operating systems and procedures
  • Familiarity with supervisory and interviewing practices
  • Experience with crew orientation and training programs
  • Effective leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage budgets and analyze profit and loss statements
  • Competence in customer service excellence
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of employment laws and company policies
  • ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain

Job Duties

  • Manage labor costs by evaluating labor needs against projected sales during shifts
  • Review budget and profit and loss statements monthly
  • Promote customer satisfaction to build sales
  • Monitor crew prep, production, and procedure execution to control costs
  • Track waste levels through established procedures
  • Communicate issues in sales and profits with General or District Manager
  • Assist in executing restaurant sales and profit plans
  • Monitor food costs to prevent waste and theft
  • Process crew applications and conduct interviews
  • Hire and train crew to ensure adequate coverage and performance
  • Monitor crew turnover and recommend improvements
  • Monitor product quality by engaging customers and managing crew performance
  • Train crew in customer service, product knowledge, and cleanliness protocols
  • Manage service times and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Maintain restaurant cleanliness and follow cleaning plans
  • Conduct crew training in orientation and new product knowledge
  • Follow preventative maintenance programs and report issues
  • Ensure security of cash, products, and equipment
  • Manage shift quality standards and compliance with operational procedures
  • Enforce company policies and maintain safe working conditions
  • Perform administrative duties as assigned
  • Write and manage crew schedules
  • Handle employee relations and performance management
  • Mentor crew members interested in leadership roles
  • Foster teamwork and motivation within the crew
