Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Must have and maintain ServSafe certification
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to multi-task and maintain composure
- Ability to train others in Wendy's systems and employee development programs
- Flexibility to work 50-hour work weeks including all shifts and days
- Must exhibit professionalism, composure, and discretion in customer service
- Availability to report to work promptly and regularly
- Must be able to meet all subordinate position requirements
- Ability to perform physical inspections of the entire restaurant
- Ability to use a headset
- General knowledge of state and federal employment laws
Job Qualifications
- College degree or equivalent experience in operations
- 1 year of line operations experience in the restaurant industry
- Ability to perform all restaurant operations positions and functions
- Knowledge of Wendy's operating systems and procedures
- Understanding of Wendy's policies and procedures related to job responsibilities
- Familiarity with supervisory and interviewing practices
- Experience with crew orientation and training programs
Job Duties
- Manage labor costs by evaluating labor needs against projected sales
- Conduct monthly review of budget and profit and loss statements
- Promote customer satisfaction to build sales
- Monitor crew prep, production, and procedures to control costs
- Track waste levels and ensure proper crew position procedures
- Communicate sales and profit issues to General Manager or District Manager
- Assist in executing sales and profit plans
- Monitor food costs to prevent waste and theft
- Process crew applications and set up interviews
- Conduct crew interviews and hiring
- Monitor and analyze crew turnover rate and causes
- Recommend staffing improvements to General Manager or District Manager
- Monitor product quality during shifts through customer interaction
- Manage crew performance and provide feedback
- Take service times and assess efficiency
- Train crew in customer courtesy and prompt service
- Take corrective action to improve service times
- Train crew to solicit customer feedback
- Establish and communicate daily S.O.S. goals
- Train crew to maintain restaurant cleanliness
- Follow restaurant cleaning plans
- Direct crew to correct cleaning issues
- Train crew on new products
- Assist in training new managers
- Use Crew Orientation and Training processes
- Train new crew in initial position skills
- Cross-train crew for efficient coverage
- Recognize high-performing crew members
- Follow prep and production flowcharts
- Monitor inventory levels
- Maintain security of cash, product and equipment
- Follow restaurant priorities set by General Manager
- Manage shifts to maintain quality standards
- Take corrective actions for anticipated problems
