This opportunity is with an independently owned and operated Del Taco restaurant franchise. Unlike corporate-owned locations, this position is directly managed and employed by the independent franchisee who controls all employment policies and decisions including hiring, wages, staffing, and discipline. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 to 5 years experience in QSR or full service concept
  • ServSafe certified
  • Fluent in English
  • Valid driver's license
  • Proof of vehicle insurance
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to travel including overnight stays within assigned area

Job Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years experience in QSR or full service restaurant industry
  • ServSafe certified
  • Fluent in English
  • Spanish language skills a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Great telephone manner

  • Accurate and analytical thinking
  • Strong problem solving and math skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and under pressure
  • Proven leadership and motivation of diverse teams

Job Duties

  • Fully staff the store with quality people
  • Recruit, hire, and retain all restaurant employees
  • Ensure the entire team is certified according to the current training process
  • Create a service oriented culture
  • Promote an environment of fun and teamwork
  • Evaluate performance and recommend salary increases
  • Recommend, approve, and administer disciplinary action, suspension, and/or termination
  • Develop and grow team members and future managers
  • Execute Del Taco standards and processes 100% of the time
  • Maintain the facility and customer areas
  • Maintain all equipment to operational and safety standards
  • Deliver quality products to Del Taco standards every time
  • Adhere to cleaning schedules and standards
  • Ensure employees are in proper uniform
  • Ensure a consistent service experience
  • Ensure POP and signage are present and correctly placed
  • Identify and communicate sales goals daily, weekly, and year-over-year
  • Ensure the right people are in the right places according to sales
  • Increase customer count and average check size
  • Identify and execute local store marketing
  • Stay aware of local events and competition
  • Execute speed and service standards
  • Execute marketing promotions flawlessly
  • Maintain staffing levels according to sales
  • Comply with labor laws
  • Accurately order and manage inventory
  • Ensure cash handling procedures are followed
  • Perform cash audits and resolve issues
  • Execute safety and health standards
  • Manage service vendors efficiently to control costs
  • Achieve and communicate controllable cost targets
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
