Job Requirements

  • Food safety certification
  • alcoholic beverage certification
  • several years of hospitality or private club experience
  • banquet event management experience preferred
  • ability to work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds
  • strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • valid certifications or licenses as required
  • must be able to work in hot and cold environments
  • excellent organizational and multitasking skills

Job Qualifications

  • Several years of hospitality or private club experience
  • experience in banquet event management preferred
  • food safety certification
  • alcoholic beverage certification
  • Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation or currently pursuing CCM desirable
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • excellent communication and public speaking abilities
  • proficiency in budget management and financial reporting
  • knowledge of labor laws and club policies
  • ability to maintain high standards of service and cleanliness

Job Duties

  • Develop operating budget for F&B revenue outlets
  • monitor and adjust budget to meet sales and cost goals
  • ensure accurate and timely reporting and documentation
  • manage charge procedures and financial analysis
  • oversee staffing including recruitment, training, scheduling, and termination
  • monitor labor costs to minimize overtime
  • enforce club policies and standard operating procedures
  • plan and approve marketing and sales promotions for outlets and events
  • approve menu items, pricing, and designs
  • set quality and quantity standards for department personnel
  • ensure compliance with legal requirements including food safety and alcohol regulations
  • maintain energy management and preventive maintenance standards
  • provide safety training and enforce OSHA policies
  • maintain personnel records
  • collaborate with Executive Chef and other managers for member satisfaction
  • personally oversee service and guest interactions
  • develop wine lists and promotion programs
  • update departmental standards and procedures
  • address member complaints and advise management
  • monitor upkeep and cleanliness of equipment and facilities
  • enforce employee dress code
  • approve product invoices
  • conduct inventory of service items
  • maintain financial records for sales and events
  • manage reservation systems
  • lead long-range department planning
  • recommend operating hours for outlets
  • serve as manager-on-duty
  • implement sanitation schedules
  • promote positive management philosophy and employee morale
  • manage use of club equipment and space
  • establish workload and performance standards
  • coordinate arrangements for club functions
  • ensure cleanliness and sanitation
  • perform competitive business analyses
  • oversee risk management programs
  • handle emergencies promptly
  • lead departmental and staff meetings
  • liaise with vendors and contractors
  • ensure security of club and belongings
  • complete assignments from Clubhouse Manager
