Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • must have one year of experience in restaurant line operations
  • must be able to perform all restaurant operations functions
  • must possess a valid driver's license
  • must have and maintain ServSafe certification
  • physically able to stand for prolonged periods
  • able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • able to work in noisy, hot/cold conditions
  • quick learner with ability to train staff
  • able to multi-task
  • must exhibit professionalism and composure
  • able to work 50-hour work weeks
  • must be available for all shifts and days
  • knowledge of state and federal employment laws

Job Qualifications

  • College degree or equivalent experience in operations
  • minimum one year of line operations experience in the restaurant industry
  • ability to perform all restaurant operations functions
  • knowledge of Wendy's operating systems and procedures
  • understanding of Wendy's policies and supervisory practices
  • knowledge of interviewing and crew training programs
  • ability to train others in Wendy's systems
  • must possess ServSafe certification

Job Duties

  • Manage labor costs by evaluating labor needs against projected sales during shifts
  • review budget and profit and loss statements monthly
  • promote customer satisfaction to build sales
  • monitor crew prep, production, and procedure execution to manage costs
  • track waste levels using established procedures
  • communicate sales and profit issues to General Manager or District Manager
  • assist in executing restaurant sales and profit plans
  • monitor food costs to minimize waste and theft
  • process crew applications and set up interviews
  • check references and hire crew to ensure adequate coverage
  • monitor crew turnover rate and causes
  • make recommendations to senior management
  • monitor product quality by interacting with customers and managing crew performance
  • take service times and determine efficiency
  • train crew in customer service and prompt response
  • take corrective actions to improve service times
  • solicit customer feedback
  • establish and communicate daily goals
  • train crew to maintain cleanliness and follow cleaning plans
  • direct correction of cleaning deficiencies
  • train crew on new products and orientation processes
  • assist in training new managers
  • cross-train crew for efficient shift coverage
  • recognize high performers
  • ensure crew meets prep and production goals
  • monitor inventory levels
  • maintain security of cash, product and equipment
  • follow restaurant priorities and plans
  • manage shifts to quality, service, and cleanliness standards
