Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a luxury hotel, club, condominium environment or fine dining restaurant

Job Qualifications

  • 2-year or 4-year degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience in luxury hotels, resorts, or private club fine dining restaurants
  • strong food, wine, and liquor knowledge
  • strong leadership and motivational skills
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • knowledge of industry trends
  • ability to use computer software such as Microsoft Office
  • proficiency in English, second language a plus
  • business math and basic accounting knowledge

Job Duties

  • Plan and oversee day-to-day restaurant operations and meal service
  • organize and conduct training and development for staff
  • implement procedures to increase resident and colleague satisfaction
  • ensure all pre-meal shift meetings take place
  • collaborate with the kitchen team on menu engineering
  • track weekly labor reports to maintain productivity
  • monitor and control Point of Sales Systems with resident checks and reports
  • exercise quality control over food and beverage
  • assist with forecasting and budgeting
  • promote and maintain good employee relations across departments
  • lead recruitment, hiring, training, performance appraisals, coaching, and development
  • stay informed of industry trends
  • interview, hire, train, resolve problems, provide communication, and recommend discipline as needed
  • perform other reasonable duties as assigned
